ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Even though it’s cold and wet outside, there is still plenty to do in Muskingum County.

Dillon State Park has some winter hiking activities where participants can explore nature and see wildlife. Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Kelly Ashby says there are tons of other winter activities available at The Wilds.

“There’s unique opportunities at The Wilds this time of year. So that is really something that you want to take advantage of, winter at The Wilds,” Ashby said. “You can get to do some behind the scenes, some things that you don’t get to do in the summer months, so you definitely want to check out the Wilds is one of those things to do during the winter.”

People can also take tours of the Zanesville Museum of Art. Kids can even take pictures with life-sized Snoopy! Ashby says the museum is just one of the organizations around town people can enjoy.

“We just have so many opportunities right here in Muskingum County and lots of wonderful businesses and wonderful organizations that commit their time and their talents,” Ashby said. “It’s up to us to get out there and explore and enjoy and have fun and know that there’s lots of great things to see and do right here in Muskingum County. “

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention Center and Visitors Bureau has daily activities on their website.
