Witten Farmer’s Market Sells Fresh Produce on Maple Avenue

Witten Farm Market

The Witten Farmer’s Market was at its Maple Avenue location from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. today to sell a variety of fresh produce from its farm.

Now that its flower markets are closed for the season, they will be focusing more on its produce selection.

“At the moment, our biggest item are our homegrown strawberries. Those are about done. And in the season when those are about done we move on to sweet corn which is what we are famous for. We’ll have that here in about a week or so. We will have signs up on the side of the road. You’ll see us stacking it on the wagon. We have our sign up here to let people know when it’s coming and all that. So yeah, that’s what I would say people get the most excited for here,” Witten Farm Team Lead Chloe Williams said.

Williams, who has worked for the farmer’s market for five years, says there’s one reason in particular their customers keep returning.

“Everything here tastes so much better than what you are going to get at a grocery store. It’s fresh, we sort it everyday, you’re going to get the best quality product. It’s just so much different than what you can find other places,” Williams added.

They will remain at their Maple Avenue location until October 31. You can also visit them online at www.wittenfarm.com
