Woman Dead After Crash

There was a  fatal crash on Interstate 70 near mile post 172 Monday morning.

According to the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol, around 8 a.m. 60-year-old Delores Rossiter of Pleasant City was traveling in a pickup truck west on I-70 when she lost control, went off the right side of the interstate and struck a guardrail.

Rossiter’s pickup then went off the leftside of the roadway, crossed the median, went into the eastbound lanes and struck a pickup driven by 59-year-old John Hoffman of Zanesville.

Rossiter was pronounced dead at the scene. Hoffman was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
