ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project in downtown Zanesville will be holding an art auction.

In addition to featuring artwork from ZAAP members during the art walk tomorrow, you can also preview works of art that will be up for grabs in May.

“We invite everybody to come out for first Friday in April. And most of everything that will be up for auction will be here at the gallery. So you can preview it first Friday. If you can’t make first Friday you can come during our regular hours the entire month of April,” said ZAAP Member Erin France.

France said during the First Friday in May, ZAAP will hold its annual auction fundraiser.

“All of the wonderful art will be auctioned off starting around 8 p.m. The proceeds keep our gallery open. This is a community gallery. And so this auction is very important to us because, it’s our one big fundraiser for the year. And it helps pay our electric, pay our rent so that we can all display our works here,” said France.

France also said that ZAAP features different types of artwork from felted wool, bottle cap, mix media, and paintings.
