“We get donations mostly from member artists, but then there are artists in the community that want to help out and you know donate art,” Fritz said. “Then we have the silent auction and the live auction and all the proceeds go to benefit Z.A.A.P. Help keep the doors open for another year and help us you know do what we do and spread art to the community.”
Fritz said she’s looking forward to the auction since this annual event typically brings in more people who don’t normally come to Z.A.A.P.
“Even if we aren’t getting the money you know as artists, it’s exciting just to see how much a piece will sell for,” Fritz said. “You know it’s exciting for Z.A.A.P. to get that money and for our art to be used for a good cause.”
Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project will provide music and food so people can just come and spend time with the artists. Fritz said that even if a person doesn’t see anything of interest they can always come back at a later date and find different pieces they may like.
