Z.A.A.P Prepares for The First Friday Art Walk

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- This afternoon members of the Z.A.A.P Gallery began preparations for the First Friday Art Walk.
We spoke to Z.A.A.P director, Chloe Kohl about her involvement and how she became a member by attending the Y-Bridge art festival.
“The kind ladies at the booth told me all about Z.A.A.P and how I could be a member. It’s only thirty-five dollars a year to be an active member. You get two pieces in every show and we have a show each month. It’s a really good way to just get your foot in the door. It’s kind of just a risk free way and if you can’t afford to have your own gallery and studio this is a good way to show pieces every month,” said Kohl.
Kohl encouraged others to come out and said there are many advantages of attending the First Friday Art Walk.
“There is so much to do and so much you just wouldn’t imagine. It’s not just art, we have art, there’s music, there’s places to eat downtown. You can always walk around. Most everything is in a really good and close to each other. There’s places like Z.A.A.P where we have a collaboration of artist together. The Masonic Temple is like that as well. There are many different places in one area. There are also artist that have galleries of their own,” said Kohl.
If you’re in the Zanesville area this weekend, check out the First Friday Art Walk and enjoy a festive filled weekend full of art.
