Zane Grey Family Day

National Road And Zane Grey Museum Holds Family Fun Day

NORWICH, Ohio – Each spring, the National Road & Zane Grey Museum holds their annual Zane Grey Family Day

This year’s event will take place from 10 to 4, Saturday, April 25th, at the museum located at 8850 East Pike, just beyond the Interstate 70, Norwich Exit.

“This is our biggest event every year. It is made for families, it is made for locals. I always tell people, you know if you’re a local, this is your history, which means come on the days that we are free, which is days like this event. We have a ton of crafts for kids. We’re theming it towards America turning 250 years old. So we have different crafts around that theme. There’s also an Ohio 250 theme for the month. That is transportation,” East Muskingum Museum Association Assistant Director of Operations Hope Neal said.

The National Road & Zane Grey Museum showcases how transportation has evolved since the road was built. This year’s event will feature a car show with a few additional transportation themed exhibitions outside of the museum.

“It does tie into the America 250,” Neal said. “We of course are going with the Ohio 250 theme of transportation. So we have a car show going on but we also have America 250 themed crafts, we’ll have facepaint and things so kids can be running around in red, white and blue if they would like. But it’s a great way to celebrate our history and how we got to where we are over the last 250 years.”

Each Family Day features a vintage baseball game that will begin at 2, along with food trucks and access to the museum’s gift shop.
