ZANESVILLE, OH–Zane State and Ohio University Zanesville held their annual Springfest — an event aimed at giving students a break and some valuable connections.

The event brought students outdoors for food, games, and a chance to network with local employers and campus clubs.

“Today we have our Springfest going on where OUZ and Zane State — we both come together and hold a fun event for the students. We have anywhere from employers, so students are looking for jobs, along with free food — which students really, really like free food. That’s typically why they come here in the first place,” OUZ Career Development Coordinator Summer Jacobs joked.

Tables lined the campus walkway, offering everything from career resources to student org signups. The event wrapped up around 1:30, but not before students got their fill of sunshine, fun and freebies.

“Today is really a day where they can come out and have some fun, have some free food, and I just really enjoy seeing the students enjoy themselves,” Jacobs said.

Organizers say Springfest is all about community — and bringing a little joy to campus life.
