Zane State College Launches ‘Walk with a Prof’ Summer Tours
ZANESVILLE, OH – A local college is offering a campus tour with a professor for prospective students.
This summer Zane State College is hosting their “Walk with a Prof” Tour Series.
Murphie Rambo, the Director of Marketing at Zane State, said they wanted to do more than just one tour of their campus for incoming students.
She says this is an opportunity for new students to learn the campus while talking with someone they will see on a daily basis.
“The biggest reason we wanted to do this is because students want to know who they’re going to be seeing in the classroom,” Rambo explained. “So if we can connect them from a tour the first time they hit campus, it’s even better. So they can be accompanied by their program advisor while walking around campus, showing them exactly where they’ll go.”
Rambo says their “Walk with a Prof” Summer Tour Series will kick off on July 8th with a few special guests.
“‘Walk with a Prof’ is interesting because we’ve called upon our alumni, that’s out in the community, to have them come back and kind of give us their vision of what they would tour and what was special to them when they were here on campus,” Rambo said. “We have one coming up in July, it’s with our Chef Marco Adornetto. […] He will be assisted by our alumni, Keith Scott from Scott’s Diner
