Zane State College’s 11th Annual Afternoon Tee

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zane State College’s Afternoon Tee event was in full swing Monday morning.
The 11th Annual Afternoon Tee golf outing took place at the Zanesville Country Club, and is one of two golf outing fundraisers Zane State College holds each year. The event included team photos and golf clinic with retired LPGA player Michele Redman, a shotgun start, lunch, and awards. There are 14 teams participating this year.
“So anybody from the community can come and participate. It’s 300 dollars for a team and they do a nine round scramble,” said Zane State College Assistant Director Advancement Services, Katlyn Porter.
“We’re actually really excited to welcome back Michele Redman, she’s an LGPA pro. So she’s been here every year since the beginning,” she mentioned.
The proceeds from Afternoon Tee provides scholarships for female Zane State students with significant financial needs.
“This is one that just really makes an impact to our female students who might just have a financial need. Or a lot of them are merit based so even though they might not have a huge financial need, we like to cater to everybody so just a really good opportunities for donors to come out and support our students and just have a great time doing it,” said Porter.
Zane State College will be holding their 50 year anniversary celebration coming up on Saturday, September 21st.
