Zanesville Farmers Market Stepping into the Sunshine
ZANESVILLE, OH – As the sun climbs higher and the days get warmer, the Zanesville Farmers Market is making a seasonal leap outdoors.
Starting May 4th through October, the farmers market will host its summer sessions at a new location, Adornetto’s Pizzeria, at 2224 Maple Avenue. Operating every Saturday, from 9 AM to noon, the new outdoor venue promises not just fresh air but also a fresh selection of products ranging from produce to crafts and treats.
“We have a couple of different meat vendors available along with mushrooms, kombucha, and coffee. There will be a lot of familiar faces, but we will have some new vendors throughout the season,” Zanesville Famers Market Manager Megan Jones said.
This weekend’s farmers market will include 25 different vendors. In addition to shopping, the market will also feature live music and the Moundbuilders Smoke Shack food truck.
“All of these vendors are small businesses. By coming out to the farmers market, you’re purchasing from a small business and supporting them,” Jones said.
The Zanesville Farmers Market will be partnering with various organizations throughout the season to offer engaging activities. The Muskingum County Master Gardeners will be kicking off their series of demonstrations with a session on composting on May 18th. There will be more collaborations throughout the summer season.
