ZHS to Celebrate Achievements at Hall of Fame Banquet

ZANESVILLE, OH – Zanesville High School is set to honor its distinguished alumni at the upcoming Hall of Fame Induction Banquet.

This event is scheduled for April 20th at 6 PM and is dedicated to honoring the outstanding accomplishments of Zanesville High Schools finest, highlighting those who have achieved significant honors or recognition.

“The reason for doing this is to highlight and continue to promote and talk about those who have gone through the Zanesville City School system and gone on to do great things. Whether it’s in our community or other communities. It’s a way for us to honor those who have made big strides, whether it’s in the business community, the arts community, their sports while they were in school or continued sports after school,” Zanesville City School’s Hall of Fame Committee Member Kelly Ashby said.

This year, there will be six honorees. The induction will be held in the Zanesville High School cafetorium. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the administration office.

“There’s a wide variety of reasons that we choose those that are inducted and that we honor those and also just a great way for us to talk about Blue Devil pride, and all of the great things that happen through the Zanesville City School systems. From the administration to the teachers, to the experiences that are offered by being a part of Zanesville City Schools,” Ashby said.

This year’s honorees:

Widney Brown

Selina Christian-Safari

John Jackson
