Zanesville Homicide Under Investigation

Zanesville, OH- A 35-year-old man has passed away following a Monday night stabbing on Harrison Street.

Zanesville Police Detective Sgt. Phil Michel said they were called to 117 Harrison Street around 10:45pm and discovered Michael Loomis had been stabbed and was unresponsive. He was taken to Genesis Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities said information obtained from a witness identified a suspect that was located at 1156 Greenwood Avenue and was taken into custody. The name of the suspect isn’t being released until formal charges are filed.
