Zanesville Jaycees Prepare for Food Truck Rally

Zanesville foodies and, well, anyone else who just likes to eat, you’re in for a treat.

This Saturday, a ‘Food Truck Rally’ will be held at Zane’s Landing Park from noon until 9 p.m. This inaugural event is sponsored by the Zanesville Jaycees, Board Member, Mike Fulmer said the admission to the rally is free and open to the public.

"We got entertainment booked, at 4 o’clock the Melissa Marie School of Dance is coming down to perform for about a half of an hour. At 5 o’clock we have a band coming on, they’re going to play from 5 until 9 p.m when the event ends," said Fulmer.

Fulmer said there will be a total of 14 food trucks coming from all over the state of Ohio, serving a wide variety of food ranging anywhere from Italian, Barbecue, Mexican and Asian food, just to name a few.

"It is going to be a rain or shine event. In the event it does rain we will have a tent here so people can still come down and get out of the weather. If it is sunny you can get out of the sun as well, we’ll have tables and chairs. It’s a family fun event and we just encourage people to come down and get some really good food and enjoy the entertainment and just hang out," said Fulmer.

Fulmer said they hope to bring the fundraiser back year after year.
