Zanesville Man Sentenced After Stabbing

A Zanesville man is going to prison for a stabbing incident in Muskingum County. 

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 34-year-old Brett Mayle was sentenced to two years in prison for a February stabbing incident at the Disabled American Veterans Center on Moxahala Avenue. 

He was originally charged with attempted murder and a second count of felonious assault but those two charges were dropped at sentencing.

Police say the victim was seriously injured in the incident.
