Zanesville residents will soon get to enjoy a new Texas Roadhouse

ZANESVILLE – This is the first Texas Roadhouse in the city. The restaurant along with the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting. The Zanesville Fire Department was also present and it used one of its trucks to raise the American and Texan flag on top of the eatery. Staff is excited to bring the first-time restaurant to the people of Zanesville.

“It’s very exciting. We’ve had guests stopping by all of this week and even last week because they see the cars with the training and we’ve hired over 250 people so its a great thing for the community (to) create some jobs. We’ve got a Facebook page just for our employees and they’re blowing it up. They’re so excited to be a part of this,” Managing Partner Dustin Matchett said.

Special to the restaurant is it is the first of all the Texas Roadhouses in the country to feature a drive-thru system.

“It’s the first brand new store in the country with a prototype drive thru. We’re going to focus really on our mobile app so it can be efficient as possible for the guests (and) that’ll really help us stay organized so we encourage everyone to try that (and) definitely the mobile app for the text ahead seating and also for placing to go orders as well,” Matchett said.

Texas Roadhouse’s doors will officially open to the public on Monday at 3:00 PM at 635 Zane Street.
