Zanesville Safety Council Opens Enrollment for 2025-26 Program
ZANESVILLE, OH – June is National Safety Month, the perfect time for local businesses to take a closer look at workplace safety.
Registration is open for the Zanesville-Muskingum County Safety Council. Safety Council is a program designed to help businesses boost safety efforts and lower workers’ compensation costs.
“It’s a program we really believe in. It’s a great opportunity to improve workplace safety and wellness, and to get to hear form the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation at each meeting. The speakers that come in will talk about anything from fire safety to lockout tagout, to electrical safety and stop the bleed. We cover many different topics throughout the year,” Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce President Dana Matz said.
There will be 11 in-person meetings between July 1st, 2025 and June 30th, 2026. Each meeting is focused on equipping members with expert insight, resources, and strategies to prevent injuries and promote safety.
“The meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at Eagle Sticks Golf Course in the Hogan Room. It is a breakfast meeting beginning at 7:30 AM. At 7:30 you eat, come in and enjoy breakfast and network with other safety folks in the community. At 8 o’clock, the meeting will start and we’re out of there by 9 AM,” Matz said.
You can fill out the enrollment form online at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce website.
