Zanesville Woman Hurt In I-70 Accident

The Zanesville Highway Patrol says one person was seriously injured after an early Monday morning accident on I-70. It happened around 6:30 just east of Zanesville and forced the closing of the eastbound lanes for 90 minutes. Troopers say 24-year-old Brittany Darby of Zanesville was traveling west on I-70 and started to swerve and ended up in the median overturning one time and ended up in the east bound lanes. She was ejected from the vehicle. The Patrol says Darby suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
