Zaney Follies Preparing For Annual Variety Show

The Zaney Follies were hard at work Monday night practicing for their annual variety show.

We spoke to Jon Kullman, President of the Follies Family who told us the Follies Family was founded last year to carry on a variety show that had been going on for 25 years now. Kullman told us about the purpose behind the performance.

“It benefits people who are in need of hospice care and maybe can’t afford everything that they need. So, we do a variety show every year to raise money to help people pay for hospice care.”

The show will be held at Secrest Auditorium and features singing, dancing and magic, the shows overall theme. Kullman says lots of volunteer work is what it takes to get the show off the ground. Kullman told us that all of the funds go straight to supporting a great local organization.

“The proceeds this year will go to Genesis Hospice here in Zanesville. We will probably designate the funds too them every year unless things change and we decide to go somewhere else, but we like to keep it here locally, pretty much everybody that’s in the show is from the community that Genesis Hospice serves.”

Dates of the show are Friday and Saturday March 20th and 21st. The show on Friday will be at 8PM and Saturday will feature two performances. One at 2PM and another at 8PM. To purchase tickets you can visit the website: ticketleap.com

You can also order them at the Secrest Auditorium Box Office.
