Zemba Fitness Trail Construction Begins At Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center

Local construction company Zemba Brothers Inc. started working on what will be called the Zemba Fitness Trail outside the Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center.

Mick Amicone, C.E.O. at the Fieldhouse said this is the beginning of a multiphase project that will feature multiple family fun amenities.

“It’s approximately a three-quarter mile loop that will go all the way around our property along I70 to Affordable Dentures and will go down by the Knights of Columbus and loop around back to our property,” said Amicone.

Amicone said the track would be wheelchair accessible so everyone will be able to enjoy it. He also said the track would feature multiple fitness stations will different types of fitness equipment.

“We think that this opportunity is long overdue for Muskingum County. A lot of people will travel to Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and even as far as Pittsburgh for some fun family activities. We want to make it so that Zanesville’s their stop and not some other metropolitan city that’s along I70,” said Amicone.

According to Amicone, he hopes that the fitness trail will be open within the next couple of weeks, weather permitting.
