ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville High School Choir is calling all former choir kids and teachers.

On Saturday May 18th from 10 AM to 8 PM at Zanesville High School, former choir students will be able to come together for a day full of joy, companionship and of course music.

Cole Pennington, the Director of Vocal Music with the Zanesville City Schools said they have never hosted something like this before and wanted to carry on the choir’s legacy.

“We have just a long heritage and rich history in the choir program at Zanesville,” Pennington said. “Going back many decades, with many directors and we just want to celebrate that and bring people back home.”

Pennington said he hopes those who join the alumni choir feel a sense of belonging.

“We have a saying in Zanesville City Schools, ‘Once a Blue Devil, Always a Blue Devil.’ and that applies to the choir program as well,” Pennington said. “We don’t have former choir members, we have choir members who have just moved on and broadened their horizons.”

The choir currently has around 40 members.

If you are interested in joining you can fill out the ZHS Alumni Choir Interest Form.

That form can be found on the ZHS Choirs social media pages.
