ZHS Paving Set to be Complete for Graduation

The long awaited paving of Zanesville High School’s parking lot is finally near completion.

Crews have been working around the clock to finish the lot just in time for the school’s graduation ceremony Saturday. Principal Mark Ulbrich says the lot should be open, but the final word will be made by the paving company.

"if this lot is open, this will be an additional 200 parking spaces in addition to what we already have," said Ulbrich.

The project was supposed to be completed in the fall, but was pushed until late spring because of the weather.

"The crews have been working hard trying to get this ready, as a matter of fact, they came out here yesterday, took care of some soft spots, bridged those up, and are here today paving," said Ulbrich.

If you will be attending Saturday’s graduation ceremony at the high school, you can check the status of the parking lot by visiting Zanesville City Schools web site at www.zanesville.k12.oh.us
