ZPD Investigates Hit-Skip Accident

A fight led to a man being hit by a car this afternoon on Ontario Street. 

Zanesville Police say a man in his mid 30’s was hit by a car after an apparent fight involving a knife. The man wielding the knife then got in his car and hit a juvenile riding a bicycle before striking the man involved in the fight. The juvenile received a minor injury, but the man who was hit was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Police could not release the severity of his injuries but say that he is in stable condition. Police say the car involved is a Blue Chevy Cruze with the back bumper hanging off. There was also a female passenger in the car who assaulted a woman at the scene. Police are still searching for the car and suspects.
