ZPD Involved In Accident

Zanesville Police say one of their vehicles was involved in an accident Monday. It happened just before 2:00 p.m. on Maple Avenue at Converse. Police say the officer had to make an abrupt stop when the car in front of his stopped. Police say that’s when 19-year-old Jacob Goodwin hit a cruiser driven by Lt. Bill Shaw. Goodwin was cited by police for failure to maintain assured clear distance. No injuries were reported.
