ZPD Updates Monday Shooting
Zanesville police say they are still investigating a Monday afternoon shooting incident. It happened just before 2 p.m. at 19 South 6th Street. Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says when officers arrived they found 45-year-old Timothy Besser with a minor gunshot wound to his left shoulder. Besser was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. Roush says the shooter is described a white male in the early 30’s with a thin build, around 6′ to 6’3", clean shaven with dark brown hair. At the time of the shooting the suspect was wearing blue jeans and a gray tee-shirt. Roush says a motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
