The Rockies Express Pipeline is donating a 20' Connex storage unit to the Harrison Township Fire Department.

The Connex is from the compressor station and is valued at $4,000

Muskingum County will not be receiving any tax revenue from the Rockies Express Pipeline in 2010.

But the Muskingum County Commissioners say that has nothing to do with the rupture on November 14th. They also did not budget any tax revenue from the pipeline for 2010.

"We did not anticipate any revenue, any tax revenue from the pipeline or the compressor station til 2011 so it really hasn't affected the tax situation at this point," says Commissioner Brian Hill.

The Rockies Express Pipeline will be venting the line at the compressor station on Irish Ridge Road for the next two days. Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director, Bo Keck, says there is no danger for residents, the pipeline is only venting air.

Just more than a month ago a pipe in the Rockies Express Pipeline ruptured just south of Philo. Now the company is admitting to first responders, it made mistakes.

"I think the ball was dropped by Rockies initially and they admitted too that they did not get out and train with us, they did not give us a lot of phone numbers or contact number and I believe all that was straightened out at the meeting," says Bo Keck, Director of the Muskingum County Emergency...

If you live near the Rockies Express Pipeline, we have some information you need to know.

The Director of the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency, Bo Keck, says the pipeline,near 313 and Yoker Road will be making a loud sound.  Keck says the pipeline will be purged at 7:30 am Friday morning and he says it will cause a lot of noise, but residents should not worry. The purging will last for about one hour.
