2016 Ronna Bucci and Dr. Charles Dietz Artist Awards recipients have been announced

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The 2016 Ronna Bucci and Dr. Charles Dietz Artist Awards recipients have been announced.

This year there were three recipients Don Allen, Connie Lambert, and Bethany Mercer. Lambert received the $500 top award, Allen and mercer both received $150.

“I would like to thank Mary Ann,” Mercer said. “This means a lot to me. A personal tragedy in my life and personal tragedy in her life. I feel a connection. So it was a very big honor in that way and I felt like it was meant to be.”

“I would like to thank all those in the foundation and especially the Bucci’s,” Rev. Allen said. “We’ve lived near them and and attend church together with them.”

“The foundation has been great the community,” Lambert said. “The way that they support the arts here, not many towns this size have something like that. That the community can embrace and embraces the community.”

The Bucci-Dietz Artist Fund may be used for supplies, materials, exhibits, or other activities that may provide assistance to the artist.
