Road work closes I-70 ramps and exits
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – On Monday and Tuesday of this week routine bridge inspection will close on-ramps to I-70 in Zanesville.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation on Monday crews will be working from 7:30 a.m. till noon, which will force the I-70 east on-ramp to be closed at Maple Avenue. The I-70 to 5th Street exit will also be closed. Traffic on Maple will be detoured to Underwood Street or State Route 60. Traffic exiting off I-70 eastbound will be taken to 7th Street instead of 5th Street.
On Tuesday work will close the State Street westbound on-ramp to I-70. I-70 will also be restricted to just one lane of traffic. Traffic should continue on State Street and use US 40 west for I-70 westbound entry.
Drivers are asked to use caution when driving in these areas.
