26TH Annual Grace United Methodist Church Community Day

26th Annual

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Shinnick Street closed down Sunday morning and afternoon for Grace United Methodist Church’s annual Community Day.

The church was able to hold their morning service outdoors and afterwards began their Community Day. The festival was open to anyone and had food, games, and live music. Church Pastor Mark Chow said that this is one of his favorite days of the year.

“My favorite part is just having the community coming out and just seeing all the smiles and laughter and sharing around the table. A lot of good food. Great entertainment and a lot of fun activities,” said Pastor Chow.

This is the 26th year for Grace United Methodist Church’s Community Day. Pastor Chow said it’s now one of their biggest traditions.

“It started in 1991,” said Pastor Chow. “Pastor Ray Vincent was the pastor here then and among the church leaders they came up with an idea to come up with a neighborhood party celebrating the end of summer. So they invited some of the neighborhood churches and that’s how it started.”

Pastor Chow welcomes anyone to come and visit Grace United Methodist Church.
