ZANEVILLE, OHIO- A local organization is celebrating its 23rd anniversary.

The Hull Pottery Association is celebrating its anniversary with a social hour and get-together on Thursday at the Roseville Community Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A national show and sale will be held Friday and Saturday at Crooksville High School beginning at 9 a.m. for members and 10 a.m. for the general public.

“We are the largest pottery show,” Hull Pottery Association Vice President Keith Knowlessaid. “The largest collection of Hull Pottery in the United States. There will be thousands of pieces of Hull Pottery. And there will also be other pieces of pottery that we have made a point to only show american pottery.”

The Hull Pottery Association mission is to preserve, educate, and promote Hull Pottery. Knowles still considers Zanesville and Crooksville as the pottery capital of the world. Knowles also added his favorite part is honoring past Hull Pottery employees.

“We sponsor the luncheon for all the ex-Hull employees. We also award two $1,000 scholarships per year to graduates of Crooksville high school. We have a pretty good community presence here,” Knowles said.
