Home Destroyed in Chandlersville Fire

The Wayne Township Fire Department was called to an early Wednesday morning fire. Assistant Chief Sam Smith says it happened at 4:40 am to an unoccupied home located at 9050 Chandlersville Road. Smith says when his crews arrived on the scene there was heavy smoke coming out of the back of the home in the kitchen area. It took crews about 40 minutes to get the scene under control. Smith says the home, which is owned by Kimberly Gaddis, is a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
