SEAT Prepares for Polar Bus Express

Grinch

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As Christmas approaches and Muskingum County
awaits the arrival of Santa, South East Area Transit is offering the
opportunity to take a yuletide tour of the city on the Polar Bus
Express this weekend. This Saturday, the public is invited to the
Zanesville Muskingum County Welcome Center to enjoy family themed
Christmas activities and board a bus to take a driving tour of the
downtown area. Teresa Kocher, with SEAT, says the past two years of
the program have been a success.

“Last year, we had
over 500 people there and we take rides throughout the city; there’s
no preregistration that’s required. This year—as we did last
year—we’re at the Welcome Center and all rides will start there
and end there.”

While children and
parents are waiting to board a bus from the Welcome Center, they will
be able to enjoy a screening of The Grinch while eating snacks
and drinking hot chocolate.

“We will have the
movie playing on-going. The Grinch will be there for pictures; as
will Santa. We’ll have rolled paper on all of the tables with some
art supplies—the kids can draw and do whatever. We’ll have pizza,
hot chocolate, cupcakes—cupcakes and cookies, and bottled water.
So, there will be plenty of things to eat.”

This is the third
year of the Polar Bus Express, hosted by SEAT. The program will be
held from 5 to 7 PM and is free to the public; however a canned food
donation to be made to Christ’s Table is requested if possible.
