The first ever "Baby Boomer’s Ball" was held Saturday night.

The event took place at Prophet’s Park on Old River Road in Zanesville, complete with music, dancing, and a special appearance by late night TV horror host, The Ghoul.

It also raises money for the Kind Hands 4 Paws" program, a non profit animal rescue group.

"We’ve got close to 20 raffle prizes, we have good, we have adult beverages, plenty of dancing to good 50s 60s 70s music, we night throw a few eighties in there, too."

Those who attended brought items to donate including food, toys and blankets.

The program works to rehabilitate incarcerated men as well as man’s best friend.

"They’re taught compassion, they’re taught responsibility, there is just a numerous amount of learning that they learn though this program, everything from communication, to other individuals to training these dogs."

Mayor Jeff Tilton issued a proclamation naming September 15th as "Official Ghoul Day".
