Police: Boy, 9, wounded in apparently accidental shooting

CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Ohio say a 9-year-old boy was injured in an apparent accidental shooting in Cleveland.

Cleveland police say they were called to a home on the city’s west side at 11 a.m. Saturday and found the child shot in the hand and upper leg.

They said the preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting was accidental and involved an adult relative. Police said all parties remained at the scene and their investigation continues.
