Zanesville Police Take Person of Interest into Custody in Connection to Monday Shooting

The Zanesville Police Department says the investigation into this week’s shooting incident on Bates Street continues.
Chief Tony Coury says Wednesday afternoon officers executed a search warrant at 574 Pine Street in connection to that incident.
Coury says one person was taken into custody and is considered a person of interest. He will be interviewed by detectives.
On Monday just after 9:00 a.m. in the 700 block of Bates Street a man was shot after an altercation with another man. Police are searching for the shooting suspect. The shooting victim did not suffer life threatening injuries.
