Genesis Continues Vaccination of those 16 and Older

Genesis HealthCare System is now administering COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment to those age 16 and older, following the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) vaccination plan.
Appointments can be made by using the self-scheduling option through the Genesis website. This new option to self-schedule makes it easier and quicker to get the vaccine.
Genesis now
offers these three options for scheduling a vaccine appointment.
Option 1: Self-schedule – Pick the day and time for your
appointment by going to genesishcs.org/vaccine and clicking on the link in
Option 1. All appointments scheduled through this method are for the Johnson &
Johnson vaccine and only require one shot. People must be 18 years of age and
older to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Those who are registering
someone who is 16- or 17-years-old should use option 2 or 3.
Option 2: Call to schedule – Call
740-297-8610 to talk with a representative and schedule.
Option 3: Receive a call back
– Go to genesishcs.org/vaccine and click on the link under Option 3, then
submit required information. A representative will call back to schedule an
appointment. This may take longer than using Option 1 or 2.
Those who have appointments
to get their vaccine at the Genesis COVID-19 Vaccination Center should keep
their appointment and arrive at their scheduled time. The center is located in
the former Elder Beerman store at Colony Square Mall at 3575 Maple Ave.,
Zanesville. Those with appointments should enter through the outside entrance
on the west (back) side of the mall. There is no access to the center from
inside the mall. Appointments are required; walk-ins are not accepted.
Northside Pharmacies located
in Muskingum County will also administer the vaccine at the Genesis Vaccination
Center located at the mall. Northside Pharmacies in Cambridge and Somerset will
administer vaccines at their stores by appointment.
