Zanesville Man Sentenced in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

A Zanesville man was sentenced Monday in connection with a fatal motorcycle accident last year.
 

21-year-old Zachary Tigner appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he received a 30 month prison term and a five year license suspension.
 

Tigner pleaded guilty in November to a 3rd degree felony charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with the death of 20-year-old Luka Smith.
 

On February 20th of  2012, Tigner was riding his motorcycle on State Route 60 just north of McGlade School Road when he crashed into a truck.

Smith,a passenger on the motorcycle, was thrown from the bike and died of her injuries.
