Betty J. Madinger

Betty J. Madinger, 89 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on July 16, 1932, in Glenford, Ohio, daughter of the late Mark Smith and Daisy Ice Smith. She was a graduate of Glenford High School in 1952 and a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. Betty loved her Ohio State Buckeyes and she liked doing plastic canvas in her spare time.

She is survived by her sons, Keith (Betty) Madinger, Kevin (Patty) Madinger; brother, Lawrence Smith; sisters, Doris Brown, Margaret McMullen; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Madinger; son, Robert Madinger; brothers, George Smith, Dana Smith, Clifford Smith, Don Smith, Maurice Smith, Harold Smith; sisters, Pearl Price, Marie Weekley, Monabelle Wood, and Eileen Hawkins.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM- 12:00P PM on Thursday February 17, 2022 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mark Balmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
