The sweet smells of cinnamon rolls and coffee will entice anyone to try out Zanesville’s newest bakery and coffee shop.

The Coffee Cup on Linden Avenue held a ribbon cutting to celebrate their opening. The shop’s co-owner said it’s been her dream to have a bakery and after a few years of thinking about it and praying the time seemed right and the location felt perfect. The Coffee Cup opened six months ago.

“We figured it would be a slow start, but people like coffee and so far they’ve liked the baked goods. So, it’s been awesome the people in the community have been great,” said The Coffee Cup Co-owner Lesa Winegar The businesses, the small businesses that come and support us. They are awesome. They welcomed us like they’ve known us forever.”

Winegar said their top seller in cinnamon rolls. They’ve sold over 1,000 of them so far. She said their blueberry muffins and peanut butter sandwich cookies are a hit as well.

“Everything is made from scratch right here in our little tiny kitchen and the lattes and the coffees. Our coffee is from Pittsburgh it’s called 19 Coffee. It’s just a small family owned business and they have great tasting coffee,” said Winegar.

The Coffee Cup is located at 815 Linden Avenue. It’s open Tuesday-Friday 6am-2pm and Saturdays from 7am-2pm.
