Donald Rutledge

Donald “Meat” E. Rutledge, 71 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully
surrounded by his loved ones on November 21, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on April 27, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Alvin Rutledge and Patricia
Winters, also raised by Minnie and Carl Harney of Roseville, Ohio. Don was
the owner and operator of Auto Electric Service, after being in business
with his good friend, Dick Graves, for many years. He was a huge
Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, avid camper, and
bowler, serving as the secretary of Sunrise Bowling League for several
years. In his spare time, he loved watching his westerns. Above all, Don
enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, along with a cold
beer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Teresa Rutledge; son,
Donny (Alyssa) Rutledge; daughter, Misty Cain; grandchildren, Brody
(Hannah Cooper) Rutledge, Drake Rutledge, Peyton Rutledge, Kolbie
Rutledge, John McConaha, Jamie McConaha, Josh McConaha, Brandon
Longendyke, Christina Henry, Brian Longendyke; great-grandchildren,
Bronx, Jenson, Lincoln, Azelyn, Deklyn, Kaisley, Emma, and James; foster
brothers, Jeff Brink and Aaron Wymer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter,
Renee Ihinger; brothers, Butch Rutledge, Dan Rutledge, Gary Griffis; and
sister, Mary Corder.
Calling hours will be held on Friday November 24, 2023, from 11:00 AM
– 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be
held on Friday November 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM with Tim Patton
officiating. Burial will follow services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
