ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is partnering up with Walmart to host a “Toys for Tots” toy drive.

The toy drive will take place this Saturday from 10 to 6 PM at the Walmart located on Maple Ave.

Sergeant Kyle Shirer called the partnership between the Post and Walmart a perfect match.

“We try to reach out to all of our local businesses in the area.” Sgt. Shirer said. “Just to see who will be willing to help out with it and Walmart just fits.”

From now until Sunday you can also drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Zanesville Post.

Sgt. Shirer said they just want every child to have an amazing Christmas.

“We do this as community outreach but it means a lot to be able to provide some help to the community.” Shirer said. “We just want as many kids as possible to have a great Christmas.”

The Zanesville Post is located at 3760 East Pike if you can’t make it out to Walmart on Saturday.
