Animal Shelter Society Pet of The Week is a Senior Sweetheart
ZANESVILLE, OH – This week, the Animal Shelter Society is shining a spotlight on Star.
Star, a 12-year-old boxer mix, has an endearing personality that makes her a standout at the shelter. Despite her age, she still has a playful side and enjoys walks. Star is not just looking for any home, but a loving forever home where she can thrive and share her boundless love and joy.
“She’s a great dog. She would do better with older dogs in the family, not puppies, that’d be a little bit too much for her. She doesn’t appear to have any problems with cats. She has a great disposition. She loves baths and walking. She’s just a really good dog. She deserves a chance,” Animal Shelter Society Executive Director, April Gibson said.
The Just Kitten Around Comedy Club is scheduled for Friday, February 2nd at Bryan Place in Zanesville from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets for the event are priced at $20, with the proceeds directly supporting the Animal Shelter Society.
“You can pick those tickets up here, you can do it online, we can mail your tickets to you. It’s just a really good time. This is the first fundraiser of the year, and as being a 100% nonprofit, as we remind our community of that, that helps us take care of animals like Star,” Gibson said.
