Raijin the Cat Named Pet of The Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week, the spotlight shines on Raijin as this week’s Animal Shelter Society Pet of The Week.

Raijin, an 11-year-old domestic shorthair cat, is known for his loving nature and affection for cuddles. He is looking for his forever home, preferably a calm environment where he can spend his golden years in peace and comfort.

“He’s just a cuddle bug. He would really like to have a quieter house. He’d like to be on someone’s lap and be super loving, but he also does well with kids.” Animal Shelter Society Executive Director, April Gibson said.

Get ready to laugh your tails off! The animal shelters Just Kitten Around Comedy Club event is scheduled for tomorrow, February 2nd at Bryan Place. The doors will open at 6 pm with the comedy show starting at 8. Tickets are $20, offering an evening of entertainment and a chance to support the animal shelter.

“This is our first fundraiser of the year. Being a 100% nonprofit, that’s how we’re able to take care of cats like Raijin when others weren’t able to do that after his owner passed, and it’s very unfortunate.” Gibson said.
