Goodcity Creatives 2nd Annual Sweet Gestures Event
ZANESVILLE. OH – Get ready to unleash your creativity with a lightsaber or pencil in hand at this year’s Sweet Gestures event.
Hosted by the Goodcity Creatives Community Development Corp, this event is set to transform the Muskingum County Welcome Center into a Star Wars themed art studio on May the 4th. Starting at 5:30 PM, fans of the force and art enthusiasts alike have the opportunity to engage in gesture drawing inspired by their favorite interstellar adventure.
“This year’s theme is Star Wars. We thought that was really fun because it happened to be on May the 4th. We have a lot of cool prizes that go along with the theme. Our model will be dressed in that attire too,” Faith Cornell, director and president of Goodcity Creatives said.
This year’s event will include sweet treats, mocktails, live music, light refreshments, and more. Tickets are on sale for $20 and can be purchased online or in person at the Welcome Center or the ZAAP Gallery.
“Each ticket comes with a chance at one of the door prizes. You can buy additional chances for those prizes as well. Those door prizes include a costume grade lightsaber. It’s very cool. We have a collectors Star Wars Lego set, and some other goodies. We have an artist bundle that includes brushes, a canvas, and a Star Wars themed waist pack,” Cornell said.
