BBBSZ Bowl for Kids’ Sake Sees Another Record Breaking Year

ZANESVILLE, OH – From April 9th to 12th, local lanes were full of excitement during the 40th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
Community members came together to roll strikes and spare some time for a great cause, raising over $109,000 to support youth mentorship programs. This year, 130 teams laced up their shoes to participate in the fun and to raise record breaking funds.
“We had another record setting year. We’re really excited to announce to the community that we have more funding than ever before from Bowl for Kids’ Sake to work with programs and driving the work for youth mentoring here.” Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville Executive Director, Katie Lupsor said.
Every dollar raised will help match more children with mentors, positively influencing their lives and providing them with valuable guidance and friendship. There is another Bowl for Kids’ Sake event coming up, scheduled for May 9th and 10th in Morgan County. The community is invited once again to show their support and to bowl for a great cause.
“My favorite part has been truly, I think to date over the last few months, our agency specifically has received national attention from big Brothers Big Sisters of America. They’re seeing our results; they’re seeing the increase in reach and number of kids that we serve here in the local communities.” Lupsor said.
Plans are already rolling for next year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
