Topless Day 2024

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum (and Surrounding Counties) Jeepers Club will be hosting a topless benefit ride this Saturday.

Members Shannon Hernandez Chad Haren discussed how the event will generate proceeds for Combat to Kayaks, an organization that supports veterans and first responders.

“It’s on May 18th, Saturday, at Pleasant Grove Church, which is at 400 Pleasant Grove Road in Zanesville,” Hernandez said. “Our registration tables will open at 11 o’clock and like Chad said we’ll roll out at 1 o’clock and we will end at Kick-N-Axe. I’m pretty excited because we do get to see the Dresden suspension bridge, the Salt Creek covered bridge we’re gonna make a stop there and of course, we are going to go across the Y-Bridge, where you get to the middle and take a right. Our infamous Y-Bridge.”

Some Jeep models have removable tops that allow for an open air experience, much like a convertible car. Topless Day will take place rain or shine with all vehicles welcome and the route will stick to the roadways.

“All the proceeds from this event, from the presale shirt sales to raffle prizes, the half and half drawings and the entry fee all money received from this goes to Combat to Kayaks,” Haren said. “Combat to Kayaks is a local organization started by James Clark. He is a combat veteran. When he came back from his tour of duty he found solace in going out and kayaking and he decided to start this organization to help other veterans who had the same experiences that he had.”

The Muskingum (and Surrounding counties) Jeepers is a group of more than 500 people who drive any make and model of Jeep and enjoy the jeep life.
