Mid-East CTC Honors Health Occupations Instructors

Mid-East Ohio Career and Technology Centers honored three outstanding women this afternoon.

Mid-East is proud to honor Kathryn Sidwell, Martha Spray and Christine Neff for the years of service they have given to the Health Occupations program. Combined, these women have a total of 97 years of service and have had more than 4,500 adult and high school students. Director of adult education, Tony Hartman says their positive impact will help to drive their current and future students.

"By the students seeing this, and able to be hear and to recognize these women to see how they’ve progressed in our community, how they’ve done an outstanding job and how they’ve been a part of healthcare, how they’ve made impacts on so many peoples lives, kind of giving them more ambition and that drive to continue their education as these women have."

Kathryn Sidwell, who taught for 37 years, says she is honored to have had such a positive impact on the health education in our area.

"It means a lot to me, it’s a very humbling day for me here. I was a part of training hundreds and hundred of young ladies and men and I am just thrilled to be a part of their education."

The district hung plaques in the newly finished Health Occupations multi-purpose labs to recognize their amazing achievement.
