Paige Calendine Heads to Minnesota to Inspire Others

ZANESVILLE, OH

Ahead of her highly anticipated trip to Minnesota, Paige Calendine continues to work and perform over at Zanesville Gymnastics. Now, she’s got plenty of support alongside her on the trip, with an early morning departure with her parents, a close friend, and a coach. Paige will be performing at the U.S. Olympics gymnastics trials in Minneapolis all the way through Sunday.

The biggest stage that she has ever performed on, Paige is ready for the bright lights as she continues to teach and inspire others that anything is possible for anybody. Also that she knows that this is only the beginning of more great things to come.

“I’m going to Minnesota for the trials, for ‘Gymnastics for All’. I’m competing with other athletes that have disabilities. They talked to the gym and they were talking about me, and they wanted me to do the program so we can have a Paralympic gymnastics, in the Paralympics…soon, I hope” said Calendine.

Esther Weibel, gymnastics coach: “So USA Gymnastics is trying to start a program called ”Gymnastics for All”, which is a program where any athlete of any ability, mental or physical, can perform and compete in gymnastics. There’s lots of gymnasts all over the world that are going to join her to perform of all different kinds of abilities. There’s going to be a live stream on ‘Gymfest’ on YouTube. There should be a live stream of all the performances.

Plus, you can watch the Olympic trials on NBC and that will be live streamed as well.”
