Gladys Mayle

ZANESVILLE
Gladys Vivian (Needham) Mayle, 93, passed away at Genesis Hospice Morrison House on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She was born January 20, 1931, in Zanesville to the late Ralph and Maude (Dalton) Needham. Gladys loved to listen to hymns, read romance novels and work on jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, Jeopardy, Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Reds.

Surviving are her daughters: Margaret Tabler and Dianna (Michael) Barnett; grandchildren: Tracy (Michael) Stevens, Melissa Tabler, Erica Keith and Bryant Keith; step grandson Michael (Brittany) Barnett; great grandchildren: Lakin, Caleb, Gianna, Blair and Brayden; great great grandchildren: Seth, Charlie and Marcus; special niece Bonita Norman; special cousin Bill Day; and many nieces and nephews that she dearly adored.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arlis “Bub” Mayle, whom she married December 21, 1948; daughter Monica; grandson Michael; granddaughter Devon; son in law Harley Tabler; sisters: Helen McCuen, Ethel Young and Emily Norman; and brothers: Wallace Needham, George Needham, Ralph Needham Jr. and Donald Needham.

Calling hours will be from 11AM to 1PM, Friday, July 12, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
