Airlines, Banks and Government Crippled by Tech Malfunction

CNN-A tech malfunction has crippled airports, businesses and government services around the world.
Industry experts have said the disruption appears to stem from an issue with cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike.
It sells antivirus software to large corporations and government clients, including major global banks, healthcare and energy companies.
One expert said it appears an update may have been rolled out globally without proper testing.
Microsoft, a Crowdstrike client said it was investigating an issue preventing users from accessing its apps and services.
Meanwhile all flights for United Airlines, Delta Air lines and American Airlines have been grounded according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Other global airlines, banks, telecommunication companies and health services around the world are also experiencing IT disruptions.
CrowdStrike reported it is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.
